Revenue fundraising strategies:

As charities grow and change so their strategic needs change. To reflect this we offer a variety of services which includes Nurture for start-ups, the Fundraising Innovation Programme to help fundraising teams in medium sized charities to be enterprising and expertise in all the major fundraising income streams adopted by larger charities.

Donor development of individuals:

With experience in planning and delivering large scale donor development programmes for national charities such as the RSPCA, MS Society and Christian Aid we are well placed to help charities to develop income from individuals. We help charities to recruit individuals, develop supporter-sensitive approaches and develop communication strategies which connect with donors and generate sustainable income.

Capital Appeal Fundraising:

We’re exceptionally proud to have been involved in helping a range of charities to deliver successful capital appeals for much-needed developments. Some of our recently completed projects include a hospice in-patient unit, a new therapy centre for people with MS, a cancer services unit and a wildlife education centre. The size varies from £70,000 to £5m and the approach needed ranges from defining a strategy and mentoring our client’s staff to installing and leading a full team of capital fundraising specialists. Whatever the situation we bring specialist skills for both big gift and public phases and a unique and personal approach proven to build lasting and deep relationships with donors and to gain results.

Grants fundraising:

We have a strong track record of securing single and multi-year grants from the lottery, grant-making trusts and funders such as Comic Relief. Establishing a grants programme or compiling a lottery bid can be complicated and involved but they offer some of the best fundraising returns. We can support and mentor your own teams to uplift results or we can project manage the entire process for you, working together to develop the project planning and conducting your trust prospect research and bid materials for you.

Legacy marketing:

The average residual legacy is £30,000 and return on investment is £50 to £1. We help our clients release their legacy potential through donor communication plans, predictive database modelling, marketing to professionals and training in peer to peer fundraising. Two recent campaigns have both generated pledges worth £1m with minimal investment.

Major Donor Fundraising:

Major donor fundraising is a specialist area, equally relevant to both revenue and capital fundraising. Change Q award-winning fundraising consultants have current hands on experience of building relationships within Britain’s major giving networks. We help our clients to build or refresh major donor giving programmes and to develop the skills to deliver them. We identify and research advocates and prospects, design propositions and relationship handling structures and provide tactical support. Recent examples have included invitation-only garden parties hosted by wildlife celebrities and a cooking party hosted by Nigella Lawson.

Corporate fundraising is a complex arena but one offering lots of financial and creative opportunities for the right charities. Consultants with recent hands on experience of corporate fundraising advise our clients on the type of support that would suit their charity, provide prospect research, develop the systems and materials to deliver them and provide mentoring for their staff to improve performance.
