Tina is a clear and analytical strategic thinker and innovator who combines expert strategy, leadership and fundraising skills, gained over 27 years of working with some of the UK’s leading charities and companies. Tina’s creative, practical and positive approach helps people to solve problems, seize opportunities and above all transform ideas into action which achieves change. She has helped teams to develop and implement strategies to address a range of challenging issues including: adapting organisations to shifting environments and changing procurement decisions; finding ways to thrive in a competitive fundraising market; creating strong brands and CRM programmes and designing programmes and policy to tackle a wide variety of social and health issues including child poverty, life-limiting illness, domestic violence, disability, overseas development and conservation. A determined and capable fundraiser she has also raised over £35m to make them happen.
As part of her commitment to helping organisations to achieve impact she also works to share leadership approaches tailored to the unique needs of the third sector. These extend to evidence-based organisational development methods for realigning operations with opportunities and for inspiring behavioural change at individual, organisation and community level, both in the UK and for overseas communities.
As well as a first degree Tina has an MSc in Strategy, Leadership and Change, the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and is a member of the Institute of Fundraising and the Management Development Network. Tina has spoken at the Institute of Fundraising’s annual convention on several occasions and delivered training on behalf of the Charities Aid Foundation. She is also shared winner of a Professional Fundraising Gold Award.
Prior to becoming a consultant in 2001 Tina spent 6 years at leading global communication agency Havas Helia, where as Group Account Director for charities she led £multi-million projects for a range of national and global corporate and charity clients. These included Multiple Sclerosis Society, Christian Aid, National Trust, AOL and RSPCA, for whom she helped achieve 400% growth over 6 years. She went on to head up fundraising and PR departments at Action for ME, the Royal Photographic Society and Bath’s hospice where she continued her track record of transformation and growth.
